The basis of the Groups web site is up and running and is looking for information to populate it. Meadowbank's Scout Group Web Site Policy follows the below guidelines for publishing web pages:. 1. Only the first name or nickname of the youth member will be published. 2. No telephone or email will be published without the person giving permission by email. 3. At this stage, only committee members and groups leaders full name and nickname will be published until 2 (confirmation) happens. 4. As this is a Public website, it is encouraged that a HOTMAIL, YAHOO or simular email address be used rather than your normal email address as the details will be trawled by the undesirable. 5. If anyone, youth, leaders or committee want to have their own web page, the URL link will be added to the groups web site. They will have to make a commitment to adhere to the guidelines on this page and as expressed by the Scout Association of Australia 6. If you have or know how to published your own web pages. You are very welcome to do so and your URL will be linked to the appropriate sections page. 7. The web pages is published at GEOCITIES. The Photo album URL can be linked into the sections page. 8. Youth members email addresses will not be published without email permission is given by their parents, and email permission from their Section leader. Both will be confirmed by email response. 9. Most newsagent sell a publication in the NEXT HANDBOOKS Series called "Produce your own WEBSITE" for $15.95 approximatly. It is all I have used to produce the website. This could be a good challenge within each section to DO IT, WRITE IT, PUBLISH IT. 10. If you can't write web pages, send a PDF, PPT or MS WORD file and we will publish it. 11. Any e-mail sent to youth members shuld be by BCC, Open your Address Book (icon) to enter recipiants, send one to yourself in the "To:" box and place all youth e-mails in the "BCC" box (BCC means Blind Carbon Copy, only the recipiant will see his e-mail address and no other e-mail address placed in the BCC box) Would you want a SCOUTING page written and managed by yourself added to this site. WHAT YOU NEED TO DO NOW: 1. Is to give permission by email to publish your telephone number and email address on the groups web page. 2.
